Residential Interior Design
Service and Offerings
Our capabilities across residential interior design include collaborative partnership on small to large scale house remodels, ground-up builds, and incremental remodeling and improvements.
We are not constrained by design trends; instead we begin by understanding the client’s aesthetic desires for their interiors.
We pride ourselves in our ability to be versatile and enthusiastic to designing across any style, historical reference, and time period.
Common smaller scopes of work include: kitchen and bathroom remodels; furniture, fixture, and finish specification, procurement, and interior and exterior color and finish specification.
We partner with industry experts specializing in historic preservation; specialty crafts and finishes; custom millwork; gold leafing; high gloss and lacquer; venetian plaster; limewash; hand-painted murals; faux finishing; offering bespoke knowledge and craftsmanship.

Process
1 Learning About You
Before diving into a project we first spend time taking notes about the client’s lifestyle, interests, design goals, dreams, aesthetics, inspiration and preferences. We feel this is the most important phase of the project as it defines the scope, identity, and direction of the design.
2 Concept Development
We feel every project has a story and are passionate about understanding and creating the story that is reflective of the who, why, and what for each project. To understand and accurately craft each project’s story we kick off a project with a discovery session to obtain all the applicable and pertinent information to guide our design research and analysis phases. The insights we obtain from the research help us develop the concept, discover opportunities, and define the programming and FF&E requirements for the space.
3 Schematic Design
The schematic design phase is where we work out all the kinks such as the location of interior walls; lighting; key design details; millwork; furniture; and architectural finishes. We then present the preliminary design including floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, and initial FF&E selections from insights and inspiration.
4 Design Development & Documentation
The design development phase is where we get nitty-gritty and ensure all the desired design details have been considered, drawn, and depicted correctly. We finalize the colors, finishes, and fixtures to final floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, finish plans, elevations, millwork details, and 3D renderings and visualizations.
5 Construction Documentation
The construction documentation phase is where we align with our partner architects and consultants to review the architectural construction documents to ensure everything is drawn accordingly and accurately displaying the design intent.
We also review the project budget with the build team and consult on specifications and areas that can be value-engineered to reduce costs. As well as coordinate with project consultants to oversee proper execution of project documentation, as necessary.
6 FF&E Selection & Specification
The FF&E selection and specification phase is where we identify all the furniture, fixture, and equipment selections and ensure we have the specifications and finishes correct and within budgetary constraints.
After everything is correct and signed off on, we will coordinate directly with the furniture manufacturers to procure and finalize the furniture orders.
Lastly, we construct the FF&E booklet outlining all the final finishes and specifications to hand off to the client for future reference and project documentation.
7 Construction Administration
We stay engaged throughout the entire construction process from the beginning to the end of the project, ensuring everything stays on-track and completed to our specifications, through weekly walkthroughs, site visits, and collaborative project management platforms.
