Situated in South Lake Tahoe, this home is a mountain retreat for the owners’ and their friends, family, and colleagues year-round, becoming a ski-hub during the winter.
The home was completely remodeled and redesigned to a more contemporary light and airy Scandinavian aesthetic with rustic touches, oak, pine, white tones, charcoals, navy blues, and black accents.
The kitchen was redesigned with Shaker style cabinetry in an ivory maple finish, with an oversized island painted in a deep navy nodding to the owners’ favorite color.
The vaulted ceiling spanning the entire second floor was overlayed with a clear pine wood plank stained in a custom ivory to match the kitchen cabinetry.
The staircase was opened up and redesigned in white oak and rod iron creating a more contemporary and seamless look.
Maple-Fluted Tile & Black Accents
Maple-fluted porcelain tile creates a textural and beautiful backdrop to the freestanding tub and wraps onto the shower walls and floor. The wood look of the porcelain balances the oak floating vanity and linear cabinet as well as the oak accents running throughout the house.
Layered white tones, oak wood, black porcelain, and metal accents create a crisp, modern and seamless look in this guest bathroom.
